Saving Innocent Children Incorporated stands for educational equity. Our programs foster holistic, academic, and personal development while raising political and cultural awareness; thus empowering students to act as dynamic leaders for their communities. We accept the challenge of creating a society that provides a quality, culturally sensitive, comprehensive education for students of all backgrounds. Furthermore, we are dedicated to creating an environment of collective action that will work to ensure the perpetuity of academic achievement among future generations.

S.I.C. Inc.: Saving Innocent Children Incorporated is a student run, student governed non-profit organization. Our goal is to develop well-rounded, college bound young women through a holistic educational experience. We do this by focusing on two main areas of education: Recruitment and Retention. In the field of Recruitment, we send out college students and alumni to various high schools in Los Angeles, California, as well as its surrounding cities, to invite young women to sign up for our program. Once admitted into the program we mentor our students in four specific areas: Leadership, Academic, Cultural and Holistic Living. Our goal is that through our program, more young women will have graduated from high school and gone on to attend prestigious universities across the country.

In the field of Retention, we aim to follow all of our students through their collegiate experience to ensure that they not only excel while in college but that they also graduate from the school that they attend. We do this by preparing them during the mentorship program that takes place for 10 weeks of every summer. We also provide tutors, train them into logical thinkers while developing them into powerful leaders. It is our goal to ensure each child leaves our program understanding that that they can accomplish anything that they set their minds to, regardless of circumstance.

During the Saving Innocent Children Summer Mentorship Program for Girls, we give our girls an experience of a lifetime that they will never forget. From watching guest performers, to hearing guest speakers, to resume workshops, interpersonal counseling, sexual education, culturally stimulating field trips and outings, academic tutoring in any and all subjects, community service, summer reading, end of summer showcase and so much more, our girls cant help but to walk away from this experience a changed woman. Also, this program is completely free to the young women who participate. However, to grant these girls such an amazing opportunity, our non-profit organization is operated mainly by donations. Those who sponsor us always feel that they’re investment was well worth it. We also incorporate our sponsors into our program in multiple ways whether it is advertisement, giving back to the corporation by community service or in many other forms.

Thank you for your consideration in donating to our program. We assure you that you will not be disappointed in your investment. There are a few ways that you can donate to our program. You can find out more information listed below.

Kraft Service Contributions: Since our program is during the week from 9am – 1pm on Tuesdays-Thursdays, we do provide breakfast and lunch for our girls. Breakfast traditionally constitutes anything from muffins, fruit and juice to yogurt parfaits. Lunch can be anything from sandwiches, fruit or veggies to pasta and garlic bread. We provide our girls with well-balanced and healthy meals to ensure and promote healthy living.

Charitable Contributions: A charitable contribution can be anything from ink to keep our printers running to shirts that our girls can wear on outings and field trips. We also look for organizations to donate bus and limousine services for our field trips and outings.

Monetary Contributions: Since the program is free of cost to our participants, the cost of the program can get a bit costly. We want to ensure our students the best experience that they can possibly have this summer. Majority of our monetary contributions are applied towards our field trips and outings, the purchase of our summer reader, food for the program’s daily meetings and trips, SIC Inc apparel and also a small stipend for our tutors. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
